Mark Cassaday, Professional Builder, Consultant, and Owner

Since moving to Myrtle Beach in 2019, Mark Cassaday is enjoying the beautiful state of South Carolina and all that the Grand Strand has to offer and continues his love for construction in REIGN BUILDERS. His passion for building began in his hometown of Mesa, Arizona, where he began his appreciation for the building industry working side by side with his Father, a master carpenter, successful trade contractor and accomplished builder. While attending Arizona State University, Mark worked for an engineering firm as a field technician in the areas of soil mechanics and concrete testing and held several technical certifications in these areas from ACI and NICET. After graduating from ASU’s College of Engineering with a Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Mark worked in various capacities from Superintendent, Contract Administrator, and Purchasing Manager to VP of Construction with some of Arizona’s largest homebuilders, gaining valuable experience and insight.

During this time, Mark was also certified as a Building Inspector as designated by The ICBO. After running his own commercial/residential contracting business for over 15 years, he worked for over 9 years for a nation consulting company in Construction Services, traveling the U.S. performing commercial real estate due diligence, owner representative, and lender progress site assessments.

Mark is gifted with a high level of mechanical aptitude, an extensive knowledge and understanding of building processes and procedures, and an eye for detail; combining theses gifts with his experience, he has applied them to his familiarity of local building practices and products to make himself highly valuable as a construction consultant and competent builder.

Field oversight of all facets of new construction and renovation of Commercial Construction and Custom Residential projects along the Grand Strand/Myrtle Beach SC area.

Senior Project Manager – EBI Consulting, Inc., Burlington, MA 2014 -2023

Performing site visits and preparing detailed reports for Construction Loan Monitoring primarily for commercial lenders and as owner-representative in medium to large scale new and renovation projects.
Working remotely and traveling extensively to provide Construction Consulting, Owner Representation, Lender Representation, and Bank Draw Review to clients across the United States.

Managing field personnel, budgets, trade contractors and coordinated with sales and marketing on two large commercial townhouse communities in North Scottsdale, Arizona.

Architectural Coordinator/Project Manager – Del Webb’s Trovas Company, Phoenix, AZ 1993 – 1998

Responsible for all aspects of custom home building from buyer conception to construction completion.

Trade experience includes surveying, carpentry (framing and trim), electrical, plumbing, mechanical, cabinetry, counter tops, drywall, and painting.

I am computer proficient with spreadsheets, word processing, accounting, estimating, scheduling and database systems. I have extensive experience in managing construction field activities, budgets and schedules. I have a high degree of building knowledge, and a high ethical standard. I have extensive experience with professional report writing, construction plans and specifications, construction financing, project analysis, project management, project estimating and technical construction contracts and documents. I have a current Commercial Construction License in South Carolina and am an active SC Real Estate agent. I have held several technical designations from ACI and NICET and have also been a Certified Building Inspector as designated by the ICBO (now expired). My personal strengths include a very high degree of mechanical aptitude, mathematics, and analytics in addition to being highly detailed.

Mark Cassaday and his family currently reside in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mark is a professional construction manager with extensive experience in overseeing commercial and custom residential construction projects. He has over 9 years of professional consulting in construction services working for a national engineering firm working remotely and independently while traveling across the country representing owners, lenders, and insurance companies in various capacities.

Mark has the formal education background, hands-on trade experience, professional communication skills, and the flexibility to handle most tasks. He enjoys the ability to do a variety of roles and is always searching opportunities to be challenged. Mark has a strong work ethic, a high moral character, and an eye for detail.

Mark Cassaday began his appreciation for the building industry in his youth working along side his Father, a master carpenter, successful trade contractor and accomplished builder. In 2019, Mark moved his wife and family to the Myrtle Beach area that he now calls home. Mark brings over 35 years of construction experience to his commitment to excellence and integrity.
